Casablanca Travel Poster
This Pair of works are travel posters for the Moroccan city of Casablanca. The city was selected from a random generator and a peer provided a limited color palette. Through these restrictions I conducted research on the area and landmarks and settle on the Hassan II Mosque as a primary marker. The paintings are acrylic on Canson board with digital text added.
In Light of Sin
This piece was a visual response to a photo of a lamp against a teal background and white wall adjacent to it. The prompt required the interpretation of this image with a visual reply, and I settled on nude figures climbing towards the light in a vertical composition with an angel figure striking them down. This was submitted for a portfolio review and admission to the University of Arizona’s IDA (illustration, design, and animation) program. Acrylic on canvas was the medium for this illustration.
